Healthy Eating When You Have a Brain Tumor

On one hand, this is a rather niche topic because let’s face, not that many people have brain tumors. On the other hand, if you have a brain tumor, and I still do, it can be especially relevant and intriguing.  I mean is there a chance that the best thing I can eat to combat my remaining tumor is Homer’s Ice Cream? (While I like a lot of their flavors, I can’t resist their Prairie Berry flavor).

I expect to find out at the American Brain Tumor Association’s Patient & Family Conference that starts Friday, July 27th at the Renaissance Chicago O’Hare Suites Hotel.

I hope to learn good news about Homer's Ice Cream at the Saturday breakout session entitled “Healthy Eating When You Have a Brain Tumor: Nutrition During Treatment Part I ” which will be lead by Cassandra Vanderwall, MS, RD, LDN, CPT of the  Rush Nutrition and Wellness Center. I also plan to attend part II which is “Healthy Eating When You Have a Brain Tumor: Nutrition After Treatment.”

So you can't pick a conference out of town in some exotic resort? Oh, well. Hope the ice cream thing is good.
