I’m going to take a break from my story to very briefly address the issue of a slow-growing, less invasive “benign” tumor (e.g. my meningioma brain tumor) versus a fast-growing, invasive cancerous tumor.
Clearly there’s nothing good about having cancer. As a cancer survivor (melanoma), I can attest to that.
So someone may say to you “If your brain tumor is just benign you’re ok, right?” The answer is “maybe yes, and maybe no.” Benign brain tumors can still cause lots of terrible problems.
