Which picture scares you more?

As I read brain tumor blog postings on Inspire (http://www.inspire.com/) or It’s Just Benign (http://www.itsjustbenign.org/) or any of a number of brain tumor bloggers, I find many postings that fall into one of two buckets.

The first bucket is the “Yeow, I’ve got a brain tumor and what am I going to do about it?” Their postings are strewn with worry, panic, fear, anxiety and all sorts of other reasonable concerns.

What I find more interesting, and certainly more unsettling, is the second bucket. Folks in this bucket have conditions that are “stable” or are in a “watch and wait” mode…which drives them nuts. They (and me) have many of the same worries, fears and anxieties.

I invite you in the second bucket to join me as I try to climb out of the bucket and onto some raft which floats over a sea of tranquility to one of those Corona beaches.
